We’ve back with the dream team baby, we have 3 ProTipster Experts with me on the show this evening and we’re going to chat about Premier League betting, the Championship, Serie A and we’ve even got some J-League for you.
We’ll also be talking about the World Cup draw and why Germany loves young men while England loves old ones. We’re going to delve deep into the football markets to help you find value and learn more about betting on football.
Premier League Betting
We kick off the podcast recalling our youths when we used to see football played with orange balls when it snowed, could we see a return of the orange balls this weekend? Unlikely, but it’d make old fogies like us happy.
Or first match tackle is the big match of the weekend, Arsene Wenger is taking on Jose Mourinho again when Arsenal host Manchester United at the Emirates . There’s been an awful lot written about Mourinho’s record against the so-called Big 6 in the Premier League and you’d have to presume he’ll once again part the bus and try and sneak out a 0-1 win.
Arsenal however, have been nothing short of brilliant at home and this is really going to test their resolve. Three different picks from the ProTipsters here so you’re in for a treat with them finding value in 3 different football markets.
We’ve all been mighty impressed with what Sean Dyche’s been doing at Burnley
Next up is yet another London derby where Watford will be taking on Spurs. 3/4 previous Premier League meetings have ended in defeat for Watford and we take a look at what should happen here. Watford have been so close in so many games this season but it’s their lack of resolve and experience that has been letting them down. Spurs have had a bit of a wobble and the bookies certainly expect them to get back on track this weekend. What do our ProTipsters think though?
Leicester Vs Burnley is next on our list of matches. We’ve all been mighty impressed with what Sean Dyche’s been doing at Burnley, building a solid team, buying young British and Irish players and trusting them to deliver. Their defence is outstanding but it’s their lack of firepower that is concerning, sure they score, but not enough. Leicester meanwhile have hit form just at the right time of year, as in, with the busy Christmas period fast approaching Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy look like they’re back to their best and will be relishing going up against one of the best defences in the Premier League.
Manchester City Vs West Ham is our final Premier League Betting Preview match. City have shown a lot of backbone over their recent matches. Raheem Sterling thinks he’s Diego Maradona and their desire to win is a beauty to behold. The ProTipsters look at the different lines in the markets and try to find some value, especially in the goals markets.
…if they’re lucky, is a six-month bounce and then wash and repeat the process.
This weekend sees the conclusion of the J League in Japan and ProTipster Jonny is the expert here so he fills us in on what’s going to unfold on the final day of the season over there.
Two teams can win it, so Jonny tells us all about the clashes between Kawasaki Frontale and Omiya Ardija and Jubilo Iwata v Kashima Antlers.

We then turn our attention to some of the differences that were highlighted during the week between the types of managers hired by English and German football clubs.
There isn’t a Premier League fan that’s happy seeing Sam Allardyce, Alan Pardew and David Moyes be given yet another chance at another underachieving club when they know all they’re going to get, if they’re lucky, is a six-month bounce and then wash and repeat the process.
We chat about who in England should be given a chance and why the German approach is not only better for the clubs, it’s better for the fans, the national teams and the young players coming through the ranks.
