Premier League Betting
Ahead of this weekend’s massive action in the Premier League and across Europe ProTipsterDan and I had a gander at the fixtures and while Sunday doesn’t look like it’ll get anyone’s knickers knotted up, Saturday looks like it’s going to be a great day of football.
We have 3 derbies in 3 European Capital Cities to get to help us get our football fix this weekend. Arsenal take on Tottenham in what has, and will always be, London’s most glamorous derby, followed in a close second by Barnet v Dagenham and Redbridge, but you already knew that being the wise football fan that you are.
Arsenal have a great record at home, they’ve won the previous 10 home league games and have kept 7 clean sheets. Crisis? What crisis? Sure everything is rosey at Arsenal, except for the Alexis Sanchez debacle, the Mesut Ozil debacle, the constant injuries, oh and pretty-boy Olivier Giroud won’t be playing either. Not many football fans like the early Saturday kick off time, however, opposition sides do tend to like it because the home sides’ fans tend to be a bit docile and sleepy still, quieter than usual. But this match is being played at The Eremites so it probably won’t make much of a difference in all honesty.
Spurs have taken this match so seriously they didn’t all most of their England internationals to play in the games and with an impressive 8/10 wins away from home can Mauricio Pochettino’s side get the better of the auld enemy away from home for a change?

Off the Rome then for Roma vs Lazio, Game of the day for me personally. Italian football is back at the top where it belongs, the league is outscoring all others and the myth of solid Italian defences has firmly been kicked to the side. We’re expecting lots of goals here but there’s very little value to be found in the markets, so we have to look at choosing a side.
Can Ciro Immobile continue his fine scoring form? Or will Roma Edin Dzecko rise above all again, like he usually does, and power home more headed goals. It’s the biggest match of the year in Italy, always has been, even when AC Milan and Juventus were battling for league titles it was always the Rome Derby that got the imaginations of the locals going. There are simply no neutral when it comes to this one. We can’t wait.
La Liga Betting
The Madrid derby kicks off at 20.45 CET, Atletico Madrid host their fiercest of rivals Real in what ProTipsterDan says ‘this could be the one that gets Zinedine Zidane fired. For that alone we’re going to be glued. Imagine being an Atletico player knowing that if you score you could get the fiery Frenchman his P45. Gareth Bale is still out, Cristiano Ronaldo is firing more blanks than usual and Karim Benzema hasn’t bothered starting his season yet. On the other hand Atletico started very slowly but are finally getting back to themselves, did the international break come at the wrong time though and will they be able to find their scoring feet against their most hated rival?
We’ll need a second screen too, as at the same time Napoli take on AC Milan, with Napoli massive favourites in this one. Can they remain at the top of the table, or will they slip up and allow Juventus back into a positions they’ve all but cemented themselves into over the past few years.
You can probably tell I’m excited. I can’t wait for what’s going to be a mammoth day of mighty football.
