Asian Handicap Football Betting
Check out the video below if you prefer to watch the explanation video.
Asian Handicap Football Betting, it can be a bit off-putting can’t it? Do you remember the first time you saw something like Chelsea -1.25? Did you have a clue what it meant? I know I certainly didn’t and when I did learn what it was I stayed far away from Asian Handicap betting for a long time.
It didn’t really make much sense, how could Chelsea win a match by one and a quarter goals? And you could really fall down a rabbit hole then and see things like Halftime Handicap Betting and Asian Handicap Corner Betting and it can all get a bit too much.
With all that in mind then we decided to make an easy-to-understand video explaining Asian Handicap Football Betting.
What exactly is -0.75 goals, what is +1.5 goals? Well, to put it in the easiest terms to understand, Asian Handicap Betting gives an advantage to the underdog in a match.
No Pirlo, no party
In the video I previewed two Premier League matches. Bournemouth – Huddersfield and Liverpool – Southampton. At the time of recording Bournemouth were 1.90 to win, so they’re the favourites. The Asian line has been set at -0.5, this means that Huddersfield start the match with a half goal advantage. To find out what the Asian Handicap Line has been set at check the odds and the ones that are closest together is the line.
If we bet on Bournamouth AH -0.5 they would need to win the match for our bet to win, should the match end in a draw then Hudderfield win the best because of their half goal advantage. Obviously if Hudderfield beat The Cheeries we lose too.
In the Liverpool – Southampton match, Liverpool were 1.41 to win at the time of recording. The Asian Line had been set at -1.25, the odds are 1.90. What does that mean?
Well, if Liverpool beat Southampton by 2 goals, our bet wins. If Liverpool win by one goal, we lose half our stake.
And if they lose, our bet loses
I’ve made a table to show you how to know what result you need for your bet to win:
Asian Handicap Strategy
So then, let me tell you about the Asian Handicap Strategy I’ve been told about.
The criteria are as such: we back the favourites, the Home Team should be clear favourites, 1.40 to 1.70 or the
Away Favourites must be priced between 1.70 and 2.20.
Also when picking the game we need to look at the goal-scoring record of the sides, do they score a lot of goals, i.e. can they beat the Asian Line? And do the opposition conceded many goals too?
We can try out strategies and systems without actually spending a penny
My first pick is in the video, unfortunately it didn’t win and for the first time since 1958 Italy will not be playing at a World Cup. To be honest I’m pretty devastated by that, not the bet losing, but Italy not at a World Cup, it’s like Sunday roast with no gravy, a burger with no bun. No Pirlo, no party….yes, I know he’s retired but still, he would’ve been there in the crowd.
I’m going to be logging these bets over on ProTipster.com so you can all follow my bets.
I’ll make a short video too of every bet I do, so keep an eye out for those as well. Subscribe to ProTipster on YouTube or Instagram for updates.
Hopefully this strategy pays off and we can all start making a few bob together, that’s one of the great things about ProTipster, we can try out strategies and systems without actually spending a penny.
