The Premier League kicks off in earnest this weekend and we’ve put together our 12th August betting tips and analysis to help improve your betting profits.
West Bromwich Albion v Bournemouth Betting Tips
West Bromwich Albion open the first match of their league campaign on Saturday with a home match against Bournemouth. Tony Pulis’ men will be hoping that the new season sees a restart in their form after only winning one game in their final 12 last time out.
Bournemouth have been very active in the summer, signing £30million of talent from Chelsea in Nathan Ake and Asmir Begovic along with free signing Jermain Defoe from Sunderland. In comparison the Baggies have only brought in Jay Rodriguez from Southampton permanently and Egyptian defender Ahmed Hegazy on loan.
West Bromwich Albion start the game as favourites however it could be that their difficulties to bring in more creativity in the middle could see them struggle and as a consequence our 12th August betting tips for this game are Bournemouth to win.
Crystal Palace v Huddersfield Predictions
Crystal Palace take on Premier League new boys Huddersfield in Frank de Boer’s first game in charge at Selhurst Park. Palace have had a quiet summer in the transfer market, only bringing in Dutch defender Jairo Riedewald permanently along with Reuben Loftus-Cheek on loan from Chelsea.
The Terriers on the other hand have splashed the cash, bringing in Tom Ince, Aaron Mooy and Steve Mounie in permanently among others in a £38.5million spree. The question will be how well David Wagner can get his new signings to gel after a tough pre-season which saw them draw with Stuttgart and Torino and lose to Udinese.
The question will be how well Huddersfield can cope with Palace’s strong front line of Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke at a ground which can be tough to visit. It could well be a baptism of fire for Palace and our 12th August betting tips for this game are Palace to win.
Chelsea v Burnley Preview
Chelsea start their defence of their Premier League crown at home to Burnley. There will be a couple of new faces in Alvaro Morata and Tiemoue Bakayako while Burnley will be without £43.5million pair Michael Keane and Andre Gray.
Chelsea were almost unstoppable at home last season and it seems very unlikely that Burnley will get anything out of this game, and so our 12th August betting tips for this game are Chelsea to win (-1 handicap).
