Serie A: Best Transfer Bets
As the new Serie A season is not so far away, the ProTipster crew speculates which transfers are most likely to happen and where is the value in these bets. We found a pretty sure, a pretty nice and a pretty wild bet!
A pretty sure bet: Ivan Perisic to stay at Inter @ 1.90.
The Croatian winger has been at Inter since 2015, he was linked with many other clubs in the last few years, and especially last summer when he had a brilliant campaign with Croatia at the World Cup. It seemed that the Man United move was a finished thing, but the deal had fallen through and he stayed at Inter for one more year.
Now, Man United is one of the favourites to buy him again, there is Arsenal as well, but this Inter have really big ambitions and according to their new coach Antonio Conte, Perisic should be one of the key players in this „new“ squad. Inter would like to receive more than 45M € for Perisic, and since probably no one will meet their demands, with considering that Perisic is still good enough despite the lower market value, we believe he won't go anywhere.
A pretty nice bet: Higuain and Zaniolo swap (Higuain to Roma @ 1.80, Zaniolo to Juventus @2.25)
This could be the deal from which both sides could benefit a lot. There is no need to emphasize Juventus' position in Serie A, they practically have a monopoly and they can sign anyone they want. On the other side, most of the Italian kids would nowadays give everything to join Juventus. Nicolo Zaniolo is now 20 and he will definitely become a big star. He could stay in Roma for a few more seasons, that's always an option, but having the other one - to win titles, to play with Ronaldo and other guys is something that can't be refused.
The good thing for this youngster is that Roma are looking for a replacement for Edin Dzeko who is 33 now, and Gonzalo Higuain would perfectly fit them. Unfortunately, these two transfers interfere with each other, so they must be taken separately when betting, but if one goes through, there are really high chances this will be a classic swap. Of course, if you choose only one, we advise going with Zaniolo to Juventus because of the higher odds.
A pretty wild bet: Icardi to stay at Inter @ 7.00.
It's already well known that Mauro Icardi would like to leave Inter as soon as possible, and Inter would like to get rid of him as well. Under the new coach Conte, we can expect some bigger changes there, but the problem with Icardi is his price. He is a top player, there is no doubt about it, but the price would be too high. It's always risky to buy a player with a massive ego and with influence in the dressing room. Would anyone be ready to fork out loads of money for a potential disaster? For the odds of 7 it's worth trying he is going to settle the things with Inter and stay in Milano.
