Football Form Guide - Who's Hot Who's Not

While the last friendly games of the clubs from the top European leagues are being played in these days, you can check which teams from some other leagues are in good form... And which aren't.
IN-FORM TEAMS
FC Kopenhagen
Last 5 games: WWWWW
It is nothing special that the title holders are in a good form, but the team lead by coach Stale Solbakken have won all five games in this season so far. In the Champions League qualifications, they had no troubles against much weaker Welsh team TNS, while in Danish league they scored 7 goals in their 3 games so far. Dame N'Doye and Jonas Wind had already scored 3 league goals each, and despite that main rivals Midtjylland also have 9 points, Kopenhagen look much more convincing at this early stage.
Verdict: In the Danish capital everyone expected at least a good start, but right now this is perfect. European clash against Red Star Belgrade will tell us more, the bookies give a slight advantage to the Serbian team, but with what we have seen, Kopenhagen might get through there.
Rubin Kazan:
Last 3 games: WWW
As you can see, the games "sample" is not big, but that's because the Russian league had just started a few weeks ago. Rubin managed to surprise Lokomotiv in the first game when they earned 1 point, and the 2nd game was an even bigger shock. In away game at Dinamo, they were down to 10 men for more than 1 hour. Dinamo were knocking on the door but couldn't break-in, and deep in the injury time Rubin launched a counter-attack and scored the only goal of the game. In the last weekend, they were better against Akhmat, again with 1-0.
Verdict: Rubin are aiming for European places, their confidence is now sky-high, but you should be aware of their dose of luck in these games. Actually, they scored only one goal per game. Rubin's tactical bias was always defensive and with such style, they can't hope to remain in the top 5 in the long run.
Pogon Szczecin
Last 2 games: WW
When Pogon saw their first fixture in the list, they couldn't be more unhappy. The most difficult test, Legia in Warsaw, was waiting for them. The most famous Polish team didn't manage to take the 4th consecutive title in the last season, but for the new one, they are the first favourites again. Pogon conceded in the middle of the 2nd half, but that didn't break their spirit and they turned the game around. The game-winner was scored by Zvonimir Kozulj, and the same player scored the winning goal in the next game against Arka.
Verdict: Pogon have shown they are capable of winning in the late period of the game and something like that could be crucial. In the last season, Piast created the major sensation, so Pogon have some slight chances to repeat that. The odds are around 10 and you should definitely try.
OUT OF FORM TEAMS
Silkeborg
Last 3 games: LLL
In the last season, Silkeborg were playing in the 2nd division, won it and earned the promotion. It was expected they are about to have some tough time now, but this is worse than they could imagine. In the first game, they visited Brondby and they were destroyed 3-0, but no one panicked because Brondby are one of the top teams. In the next game, Horsens destroyed them 3-0 at their ground, and in the last game against Aalborg they conceded 3 goals again. The only difference compared with the first two games is that in the last one Silkeborg finally put one through. It is noticeable to say they scored when the game was already solved and the result 3-0 for Aalborg.
Verdict: After 3 games Silkeborg have 0 points, goal difference 1:9 and yet have to play against Kopenhagen and Midtjylland. They earned that promotion from the 2nd division, but it seems they will quickly go back.
Rovaniemi
Last 5 games: LLLDL
The team from Laponia are really struggling lately. Their plan was to reach the playoffs in this season, but now it became quite obvious they must focus on bare survival. They didn't win in last 5 games, and for things to be worse, managed to find the opposition's net only once. It isn't a problem for Rovaniemi only in the last games, but throughout the whole season so far. They have the worst attack of the league, that scored only 10 goals in 17 games.
Verdict: Rovaniemi can't score, but you can almost be sure they are going to survive because they have luck there are two even worse teams, KPV and Vaasa.
How are we choosing teams for the football form guide?
First of all, one needs to see a rise or fall of their previous form or something unexpected compared to what we expected from a team at the beginning of the season. Or it can just be (Manchester City being the best example) a certain period where a good or a great team looks unbeatable or a poor team looks even worse than it usually is.
Additionally, we take a look at the reasons behind this rise or fall and try to predict whether the trend will continue or something will change.
