El Clasico Preview: Barcelona - Real Madrid
Football's biggest derby returns this week as Spain's biggest two teams, Barcelona and Real Madrid are ready to face off in another El Clasico. Real Madrid are going to face off Barcelona on Wednesday night in Barcelona. With both sides having 35 points at the top of the table, this game is even more interesting. Both Barcelona and Real Madrid are going to be under a lot of pressure because they are so close at the top and you never know which game might be the deciding one.
Form
Barcelona are in good form at home and remain undefeated in their last 19 league games at the Camp Nou. They have won each of their last 14 La Liga home games and have been very convincing in each of the last 4, winning them all comfortably. They are also unbeaten in their last six La Liga matches against Real Madrid, winning four and drawing two. However, Real Madrid on the other side have been playing rock-solid lately. They have found chemistry this season and they are playing far better as they were playing last season. Real Madrid has not lost in their last eleven games. They also won four out of five last games away from home. Previous meetings between these two great teams went mostly on Barcelona's side. Real Madrid did not managed to get a win in the last two years.
Injuries
Barcelona have a number of key players listed as out and doubts ahead of El Clasico. Ousmane Dembele is the main loss and is out with a thigh injury, which means he will not play against Real. Arthur is also unavailable. He has missed the last three games and would be very fortunate to make it back in time for Wednesday night. Other than that, they should have all other players on display. Messi, Suarez, Griezmann and other key players are ready.
Real Madrid is in a bit bigger problem than Barcelona. They have some long term injury problems. It is still unclear when will Hazard, Asensio, James, Vasquez and Marcelo be back on the pitch. They are definitely gonna miss a game against Barcelona. Real Madrid are still fine because Benzema, Isco, Modrić and other stars are playing better day by day and they should all be ready for this El Clasico.
Game Prediction
We already mentioned that Barcelona has been playing better in the last few El Clasicos than Real Madrid. This is a very important game for both of these teams and they are definitely going to put their best players in and if we consider these facts that Real Madrid has more injuries, we believe that Barcelona is a favourite here. Especially because they are playing at home and their form is brilliant at home this season. Some online bookmakers are offering 1.80 odds on Barcelona which is totally good and we definitely have a value in this bet. Other than that, we all know how Luis Suarez is good in big games such as this one. He silenced many haters in big games so many times already. He is always feeling a bit more motivated in such cases and he usually scores against Real Madrid. In their last La Liga meeting, Luis Suarez scored a hattrick. We strongly believe that he will score yet again and the odds are also acceptable, most bookmakers are offering odds higher than 2.00 so this bet has a value too. We expect both teams to play attacking football with lots of chances and goals. Both teams scored in the last sixteen matches between Barcelona and Real Madrid at Camp Nou. Considering that, there should be no problem for them to do so yet again and the odds are mostly around 1.50. Odds are not really big, but they are really realistic and you can always use them at least in your accumulator bets. Check more El Classico betting tips from our users here.
