Southampton vs Manchester United
Few would have thought that this game would see a Manchester United side sitting below Southampton in the table after nine games coming to St. Mary’s looking to really kickstart their season. The Saints have been awesome this year, picking up 17 points which, after nine games of the season, means they are just three short of the top of the table. For United, four wins have come alongside one draw and three losses, with the 13 points they have picked up just about seeing them sitting in the top half of the table.
It seems that United are never too far away from really turning it on in a game but, following their 4-1 victory in the Champions League over Istanbul Basaksehir, they will have to look to immediately turn it on once again. Southampton meanwhile will be well-rested and will relish the chance to take on their weary opponents. With this in mind, we are plumping for the Saints in this one, with their odds of 3/1 to win very generous indeed.

Chelsea vs Tottenham
What a cracking game we have to warm the footballing soul as the nights continue to draw in and the days get colder. At the time of writing, league leaders Tottenham will look to pick up their seventh win of the season against a Chelsea side in third-place and looking for their sixth victory. Both sides have lost just once each in the league this year, while both have looked in free-scoring mood, with 43 goals between them (Chelsea 22 goals and Tottenham 21).
While games that have featured Jose Mourinho have often failed to really see a lot of goals flying in, we feel this one could be very different. Spurs are flying at the moment and, after a very impressive 2-0 win over Manchester City last weekend, they will want to ensure the good feeling they have created is built upon. Frank Lampard’s Chelsea meanwhile have scored goals, but they have also looked shaky at the back too. The introduction of Brazilian centre-half Thiago Silva has helped to stem the flow of goals, but they still look susceptible to silly mistakes and conceding goals. However, their defensive worries have been masked by their attacking players, with their summer acquisitions already looking like good buys that are very capable of scoring goals.
For those that feel particularly brave, we feel backing Mourinho’s men in this one is the way to go (Spurs win - 11/4 @ Unibet). Spurs were once a side that looked petrified of playing the other ‘Big Six’, but they have turned this around. Following impressive wins over Manchester United and City this season, they will feel Chelsea are there to be beaten if they are not at their best. However, this is completely dependent on which Mourinho side arrives at Stamford Bridge, with the Special One often guilty of playing too defensively on the road.
Therefore, we are shying away from backing Spurs, and we are instead going to back the sensational Son Heung-Min to hit the back of the net once again. Son has been awesome in the league, scoring nine goals in nine games, with his ability to find space something that Harry Kane has exploited time and time again with clever passes. At 23/10 with Betfair, we think Son provides great odds in the anytime scorer market.

Leicester City vs Fulham
Brendan Rodgers is once again proving he has the magic touch as he continues to guide Leicester to impressive heights. The Foxes currently sit in fourth in the league with 18 points, and this means they are currently rubbing shoulders with Chelsea in third, while they are only two points short of Tottenham at the top. For Fulham meanwhile, this season is threatening to become one where they are cast away very early. Four points from nine games mean the side are already petrified of what this season might bring, and with wins in the Premier League often very hard to come by, they cannot afford to let the gap between themselves and safety stretch too far.
In this one, we think Leicester will be the side that pick up three more invaluable points. However, the Foxes come with odds of around 1/2, which is not nearly good enough to back them with. Instead, we feel that goal-scoring machine Jamie Vardy is the one to back. With eight goals this season at an average of 1.11 goals per 90 minutes, we think he will likely add to his haul against a Fulham side that have already leaked 18 goals this season. We are looking to back Vardy to score first in this one though, as the anytime scorer market has him as massive odds-on to score at any point.
